Covent Garden has always been synonymous with theatre and performance, and creates new experiences to enjoy every time people visit. The world-famous Royal Opera House and 40 West End theatres are among the many vibrant venues in the neighbourhood. The Covent Garden Piazza itself becomes an open-air theatre every day with music, comedy and entertainment thanks to the world-renowned street performers.

Our creative marketing strategy supports the existing cultural mix by animating the Piazza with a calendar of activities throughout the year, particularly in the run-up to Christmas.

Over the years, Capco has hosted numerous public art commissions, including Jeff Koons’ giant inflatable rabbit in the Market Building and a live spin-painting day on the Piazza with Damien Hirst , and Charles Pétillon’s ‘Heartbeat’, filling the Market Building with 100,000 glowing white balloons which represented Covent Garden as the beating heart of London. In 2020, Covent Garden partnered with the Royal Opera House offering a free open air cinema experience, as well as commissioning a bespoke mural entitled ‘Love Hope & Joy’ from British artist Anthony Burrill.
