Covent Garden Offers 20% Off Dining And A “First-Drink-On-Us” Initiative This October

  • Covent Garden restaurants will offer 20% off food bills, including RedFarm, Cora Pearl, Buns & Buns, The Gentleman Baristas and more
  • The ‘First Drink On Us’ will be offered at restaurants including Cora Pearl, Abuelo, Buns & Buns, Chez Antoinette and Floral Street Coffee House
  • There will be limited edition menus from Din Tai Fung, Frenchie and Floral by Lima
  • Happy Hour and Aperitivo Hour specials will be available from Petersham Nurseries’ La Goccia, The Oystermen and Din Tai Fung
  • Covent Garden also houses an art installation by artist Ben Cullen Williams

This October, Covent Garden is the place to dine with restaurants across the area offering 20% off final bills, plus all day dining options, to entice diners to book an early dinner. Visitors will also receive a complimentary first drink when they sit down at selected restaurants. Fourteen of the areas most loved restaurants will be taking part including Cora Pearl, MEATliquor, RedFarm, Chez Antoinette, Buns and Buns, The Gentlemen Baristas, Floral Street Coffee House, The Lebanese Bakery, Aubaine, Bubblewrap, ByChloe, VyTA and coffeehouse Abuelo.

Diners will receive 20% off their bills all day from Monday to Friday across participating restaurants. Kitchen and coffeehouse Abuelo will run the offer every Monday and Tuesday, and Italian restaurant VyTA from Wednesday to Friday for orders over £25 per person.

For those who fancy a tipple, the estate will be offering the “First Drink On Us” initiative across eight bars and restaurants including Cora Pearl, Abuelo, Bubblewrap, Buns and Buns, Chez Antoinette, and Floral Street Coffee House throughout October.

Bars and restaurants might be closing earlier but a handful of Covent Garden destinations will introduce earlier Happy Hours. Din Tai Fung will offer two-for-one drinks from 3pm to 6pm every Monday to Thursday, and La Goccia will extend its Aperitivo Hour with two-for-one drinks from Wednesday to Saturday at 5pm to 8pm, and 4pm to 7pm on Sundays. The Oystermen will treat diners to six fresh oysters and a glass of bubbles between 3pm and 5pm from Monday to Friday and Floral by Lima will add the option of bottomless prosecco or beer to its weekend ‘Nikkei’ brunch menu for an additional £15 per person.

Special and limited edition menus will also be introduced across the estate. For just £10, Din Tai Fung visitors can enjoy three bun dishes and Oolong tea from its set ‘Mid Autumn Delight’ menu, and those who pop to Frenchie can sample its special menu featuring sea bream tartare with pickled watermelon, lamb belly served with baba ganoush and its tart of the day, for just £32. Floral by Lima will extend its popular three course menu for £20, available Tuesday to Thursday for dinner and at early bird times on Friday and Saturday. Every Friday two-for-one fish and chips will be dished up at The Gentlemen Baristas between 3.30pm and 4.30pm, and on Sundays, it will host live music, bottomless brunch and roast dinner menus.

Covent Garden’s Henrietta Hotel, Sushisamba, Lima Floral, and Petersham Nurseries’ La Goccia will also be taking part in London Cocktail Week until Saturday 31st October, offering special £6 serves to anyone with a London Cocktail Week wristband. On select weekends throughout October, world-class Mirabeau Rosé will pop up on the Piazza with a special Rosé Bar, serving cocktails from its iconic pink truck. Neighbourhood favourite Balthazar has also reopened its doors, joining Clos Maggiore, Mariage Freres and The Ivy Market Grill offering world-class all day dining.

In addition, throughout October Covent Garden will be home to A≈V II, a spherical sculpture by artist Ben Cullen Williams. Housed on the North Piazza, the otherworldly, celestial sculpture explores the viewer’s relationship to the unknown and interstellar and provides the perfect photo backdrop against the historic Market Building.
