CURRENT DIVIDEND

DIVIDEND INFORMATION

Subject to shareholder approval at the 2019 Annual General Meeting, Capital & Counties Properties PLC intends to pay a final dividend of 1.0 pence per ordinary share (ISIN GB00B62G9D36) (2017 - 1.0 pence) on 16 May 2019. Subject to receipt of SARB approval, the Board will offer a scrip dividend alternative to shareholders who wish to elect to receive new ordinary shares in the Company in lieu of cash in respect of the final dividend. Information on the Scrip Dividend Scheme, shareholder mandates and circulars can be downloaded from the Dividend Information tab on this page.

At the request of the JSE, the timetable for the 2018 final dividend included in the Annual Report has been revised.  The following are the updated salient dates for the payment of the 2018 final dividend:

  • Wednesday, 27 February 2019 – Final dividend and proposed scrip dividend alternative announced
  • Monday, 8 April 2019 - Sterling/Rand exchange rate struck
  • Tuesday, 9 April 2019 - Sterling/Rand exchange rate, dividend amount in Rand, scrip price and scrip ratio announced
  • Wednesday, 17 April 2019 - Ordinary shares listed ex-dividend on the JSE, Johannesburg
  • Thursday, 18 April 2019 - Ordinary shares listed ex-dividend on the London Stock Exchange
  • Tuesday, 23 April 2019 - Record date for 2018 final dividend in London and Johannesburg
  • Tuesday, 23 April 2019 - Election date for scrip dividend alternative (SA) (by noon)
  • Tuesday, 30 April 2019 - Election date for scrip dividend alternative (UK) (by 5.30pm)
  • Thursday, 16 May 2019 - Dividend payment date for shareholders / Issue date for new ordinary shares under the scrip dividend scheme

If you wish to have your dividends paid directly to your bank or building society, please complete a dividend payment mandate form which is available from the appropriate registrar.

Scrip Dividend Scheme

The Capital & Counties Properties PLC Scrip Dividend Scheme was approved by shareholders at the 2017 Annual General Meeting. Information on the Scrip Dividend Scheme is contained in the 2017 Scrip Dividend Scheme Booklet which can be downloaded below along with the scrip mandate forms and circulars. Please note that references made within the Scrip Dividend Booklet to Capita Asset Services should now be read as Link Asset Services. If you wish to participate in the Scrip Dividend Scheme, please complete the appropriate mandate form and send it to the applicable registrar before the relevant election date.
