Ella Reynolds, Graduate Surveyor, Covent Garden, joined August 2021

Having completed a BSc in Geography I have always been interested in the built environment and went on to gain a RICS accredited MSc in Sustainable Urbanism from UCL in 2021. Albeit a non-traditional route to becoming a chartered surveyor, my passion for the property industry paired with a year in industry at a big four accountancy firm have provided a diverse knowledge base to starting my career as a Graduate Surveyor at Capco.

Since joining Capco in August 2021, I have been based within the Property Management team. This has provided understanding of the landlord and tenant relationship, property service charges as well as ensuring the Covent Garden Estate is maintained to a high standard. Whilst working within the property management team there has been plenty of opportunities to get involved with projects across the whole business including, identifying and implementing improvements to the public realm, assisting with the analysis of footfall and turnover as well as supporting the head of leasing through attending viewings and brand meetings.

No two days are the same, with a wide variety of projects to get involved with and a team from all levels of the business eager to get you involved, there is huge potential for personal and professional growth.  I look forward to working within the other areas of the business as I progress through my career at Capco and work towards becoming a Chartered Surveyor.

Sean Ayoade, Graduate Surveyor, Covent Garden, joined July 2021

I graduated from the University of Reading in 2020 with an MSc in Real Estate, having previously gained industry experience working for CBRE. During this time, I volunteered on behalf of a disability charity on a redevelopment project, as well as gaining work experience at the Building Research Establishment working within their BREEAM team.

Since joining Capco I have been based in the Property Management team, whilst working alongside the Asset Management, Investment and Leasing teams. This has provided me with exposure to a variety of responsibilities such as service charge budgets, new lettings and supporting the acquisitions & disposals strategy.

A key highlight so far has been working to ensure Covent Garden remains an exceptional attraction for both tourists and commercial individuals alike. Supporting tenants to ensure the Covent Garden estate is a leading destination, whilst maintaining foresight for the long term value creation and asset strategy for investors. My experience so far has been second to none, with a fast paced atmosphere that provides unrivalled exposure to gain the necessary skills to eventually pass my APC and become a Chartered Surveyor.
